A couple of auctions are ending tonight, one with a bid on it already and one without. Both are beads I really like, though for different reasons.

I love this set; the use of transparent glass for the base, combined with the ’shrink-wrapped’ glass over the raised decoration gives them a really wonderful look and texture. It’s a little hard to see in this picture, but these beads are really dimensional and look amazing in the hand. The colors of the ‘metallic’ glass really shine through from either side when you view the bead, giving it such a sense of depth and wonder. Have to be seen to be believed; these have a bid on them but will probably go for far less than they would if I could capture their beauty in a picture.

This cool focal bead is another favorite of mine, mainly because I really like the colors in it. The ivory base bead provides a great base for the rich chocolate ornamentation and the slightly reduced violet dots give the whole bead an awesome sense of age and elegance. Unfortunately, I gave this bead a really ugly name, so I don’t think it has a hope in hell of getting a bid. There are a few watchers on it, we’ll see if they make the leap.
Thanks again to those who are bidding on my beads; you don’t know how important is to give validation to those of us craftsmen who sell our work on eBay. It is primarily a solitary pursuit without much in the way of feedback outside of what we get through the dangerous waters of the ‘Bay.
